RICOCHET 2 launch

  • In August 2020 RICOCHET 2 is being launched

  • Assessing the 2 year outcomes of the RICOCHET 1 patients

Publication of results 

  • Our upcoming manuscript analysing PERT use will soon be ready for dissemination to all authors

  • Our next manuscript will be the pathway results, which is currently being analysed

Data analysis

  • Our statistician is currently working hard analysing over 2500 patient pathways.... watch this space

Data cleaning

  • Our steering committee have completed the mammoth task of cleaning the thousands of REDCap data records

Data upload

  • Data was uploaded by 95 units across the UK. Together they provided us with more than 2800 case records on REDCap. 

Database closure

  • Our REDCap database officially closed in May 2019. No further data could be added or updated after this time. 

Database goes live!

  • Our database (REDCap) went live to uploads in April 2018. 

Pancreatic Cancer UK grant and affiliation

  • In early 2018, we were greatful to receive official recognition and support from Pancreatic Cancer UK!

UK Hospital Recruitment

  • We had more than 110 units sign up to take part in RICOCHET including teams from South Africa, Republic of Ireland and Italy. Unfortunately, RICOCHET is a UK based study only. 

RICOCHET wins a national prize

  • The RICOCHET steering committee were awarded the ASiT/BJS Research Methodology Prize at the 2017 National Research Collaborative Meeting!

Spreading the word

  • Our committee traveled across the UK to collaborative and national scientific meetings to spread the word to HPB surgery and gastroenterology teams about the RICOCHET study. 

MGS Financial Grant

  • We were competatively awarded a monetary grant from the Midlands Gastroenterology Society. 

The Steering Committee

  • Our steering committee have worked tirelessly meeting almost weekly since Autumn 2016 to deliver this daring and important assessment of pancreatic cancer pathways for patients in the UK.
